Aglianico 2014 L'Archetipo
Aglianico 2014 is a natural wine from Apulia produced by L'Archetipo. It is made from 100% Aglianico grapes grown according to synergistic agriculture, a philosophy based on the concept that "nature should not be touched, because it is able to regulate itself". So no intervention in the vineyard or in the cellar, no ploughing or chemicals, spontaneous fermentation.
This Primitivo 2014 ferments naturally with indigenous yeasts for about 20 - 30 days, then matures for 18 months in stainless steel on fine lees where malolactic fermentation takes place and then in large wooden barrels for 24 months, followed by a rest in the bottle for at least 6 months.
L'Agianico 2014 L'Archetipo shows an intense and deep garnet red colour to the eye, with an elegant nose expressing a bouquet of fruity and herbaceous aromas. The sip is characterised by evident tannin, softness balanced by a nice dose of freshness.
