Crozes Hermitage Blanc 2020 Natacha Chave
Crozes Hermitage Blanc is a rare example of a white wine produced by Natacha Chave in the Rhone Valley. It is made from a blend of 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne from vineyards located in Hauts Châssis, on soil composed of clay and rolled pebbles.
Yields are very low in order to obtain a magnificent concentration in the grapes. Natacha tends the vineyard with organic infusions that she has made herself, to the cellar where intervention is minimal, spontaneous fermentation and bottling take place without clarification or filtration. Half of this wine is matured in barrels and the other half in vats, a choice made to preserve the wine's freshness.
The Crozes Hermitage Blanc 2020 of Natacha Chave shows a bright straw yellow colour, while the nose expresses fruity aromas of peach and apricot, herbaceous notes and a hint of vanilla. The taste is balanced between softness and freshness, it is very delicate and ends with a savoury finish.
