Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2007 Tommasi
The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico by Tommasi is a benchmark in Italian winemaking, celebrated for its rich tradition and complexity. Sourced from the finest vineyards in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, including La Groletta and Conca d’Oro, it is crafted from carefully selected Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta grapes. The grapes undergo a meticulous drying process in fruttai for three months to concentrate flavors and aromas before fermenting in oak barrels over five days.
The wine matures for 30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by bottle aging. The result is a deep ruby red wine with garnet highlights. The bouquet reveals layers of spirit-soaked cherries, chocolate, graphite, balsamic herbs, and subtle toasted notes. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied, with a velvety texture and a harmonious balance of richness and sapidity.
Perfectly paired with braised meats, stews, or the traditional Veronese dish pastissada de caval, this Amarone also makes an exceptional meditation wine.
