Arbois Poulsard Vieilles Vignes 2019 Domaine Amelie Guillot
This Poulsard Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Amelie Guillot is a natural Jura wine made from 100% Poulsard grapes coming from old vines planted in 1954 in the small hamlet of Molamboz, just outside Arbois.
The vines are located at an altitude of about 400 m asl where they can enjoy a good exposure and the influence of ocean breezes, and grow on a terroir composed of blue marls with a percentage of fossils, limestone and clay. Amelie follows principles of biodynamic agriculture both in the vineyard and in the cellar, with the aim of preserving as much as possible the terroir and the cycles of nature, using only a small amount of sulfites at harvesting and bottling.
This Poulsard Vieilles Vignes 2019 expresses at the sight a little red color, typical of the vine that has a very thin skin and poor in polyphenols. The nose is delicate with fruity, floral aromas and spicy notes, for a medium-bodied sip and good balance.
