The Barbaresco 2010 by Lorenzo Alutto is a sophisticated expression of Nebbiolo, sourced from the historic hills of Barbaresco, Neive, and Treiso. This wine embodies the prestige of the Langhe region, aged to develop remarkable complexity and elegance.
Hand-harvested grapes undergo an extended maceration to extract maximum color, aroma, and tannins. The wine then matures for at least 24 months in oak barrels, followed by additional bottle ageing, resulting in depth and balance.
In the glass, it presents a deep garnet red. The nose is rich and enveloping, with aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, rose petals, and violet, complemented by hints of sweet spices, tobacco, and forest floor. On the palate, it is silky yet structured, featuring elegant tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, harmonious finish, characteristic of outstanding Barbaresco vintages.
An ideal pairing for braised meats, game, aged cheeses, and truffle-based dishes, this Barbaresco has excellent ageing potential.
