Barbaresco Basarin 2016 Luigi Voghera
Barbaresco Vigna Basarin 2016 DOCG by Luigi Voghera is a red wine from Piedmont produced in the communes of Neive, Barbaresco, Treiso and a hamlet of Alba. It is made from Nebbiolo grapes that grow on marly, calcareous and sandy soil, facing south/west, 200 metres above sea level.
The grapes are harvested at the beginning of October and undergo a soft crushing. Fermentation takes place in steel vats and the maceration period varies between 10/12 days is aged in Allier oak barrels for at least 2 years.
The Basarin Barbaresco 2016 of Voghera shows in the glass a ruby red colour with some garnet reflections. The nose expresses intense aromas of violets, spices and underbrush, for a rich and balanced sip, with tannins that are present but well blended.
