Barbaresco Riserva "Asili" Producers of Barbaresco
The Barbaresco Riserva "Asili" 2014 is a fine Piedmont wine from the Produttori del Barbaresco company. Nebbiolo grapes come from Cru Asili, where the terroir allows to preserve the primary hints of the grapes, with a distinctly fruity and floral bouquet. The must ferments in steel containers at a temperature of 30 degrees, macerating for 28 days on the skins, with Malolactic fermentation taking place. Then follows the aging, which first lasts 36 months and takes place in oak barrels, and then, after bottling, continues for another 6 months directly in glass. Barbaresco Asili 2014 shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The intense and complex nose opens with hints of ripe red fruit and then heads towards floral, balsamic and spicy aromas. The tasting is structured, full-bodied, with an accentuated but not intrusive tannin, with very long persistence.
