Barbaresco Nervo 2014 Cantina Vignaioli
Barbaresco Nervo 2014 is an elegant and austere red wine from Piedmont, produced by the Vignaioli Winery. The Nebbiolo grapes come from Cru Nervo in Treiso, in the commune of Barbaresco, with vineyards facing south, south-west.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with maceration on the skins for about 15-20 days with daily pumping over and punching down. Ageing takes place for a year in traditional medium-capacity Slavonian oak casks and partly in 5 HI French oak barrels. Cantina Vignaioli's Barbaresco Nervo 2014 has an intense ruby red colour with some reflections tending towards orange.
The nose is intense, spicy and vanilla, complex verging on ethereal, very persistent. The taste, on the other hand, is austere, structured, with evident but amalgamated tannins, harmonious and velvety.
