Barbaresco "Rabajà" 2017 Bruno Giacosa
Barbaresco "Rabajà" is a fine Piedmontese wine produced by Bruno Giacosa. It is made from estate-grown grapes from the Rabajà cru, from old vines located at an altitude of around 400 metres on a very prestigious terroir. The ability of Bruno Giacosa, a Langa master capable of creating elegant and territorial Barbaresco, is to pay attention to every minimum production step in respect of the environment and the authenticity of the product to be obtained.
Harvesting is done by hand, with careful selection of the best grapes, fermentation is spontaneous and takes place in large wooden barrels, with maceration on the skins for about a month. Maturation takes place in large wooden barrels for 18 months. After a final rest of one year in the bottle, the wine is put on the market.
Bruno Giacosa's Barbaresco Rabajà 2017 expresses a ruby red colour with garnet highlights. The nose expresses a complex and classic bouquet of red fruit such as cherry, floral such as violet and dog rose, together with balsamic notes. The taste is rich and structured, with great freshness and a remarkable tannic texture.
