Barbaresco "Roccalini" Magnum 2016 Cascina Roccalini
The grapes used to produce Barbaresco "Roccalini" come from the cru of the same name, located at an altitude of about 300 metres above sea level, on calcareous soils that give the wine unique and distinctive characteristics.
The vines are cultivated using traditional techniques, with particular attention to soil and plant management, without the use of chemicals. The vinification of Barbaresco 'Roccalini' takes place in a completely natural way, with a spontaneous fermentation process using indigenous yeasts and without the addition of sulphites.
After fermentation, the wine is left to age in oak barrels for at least 24 months before being bottled and marketed. The result is an elegant and complex wine with an intense ruby colour with garnet hues.
The nose is characterised by notes of ripe red fruit, sweet spices and vanilla, while the palate is characterised by its balanced structure and delicate tannicity. The aftertaste is persistent and aromatic, with notes of liquorice and tobacco that perfectly match the structure of the wine.
Cascina Roccalini's Barbaresco 'Roccalini' is a fine, high quality wine, the result of a passion for viticulture and the traditional cultivation and vinification techniques used by the farm. Thanks to its elegance and aromatic complexity, this wine is perfect with red meat dishes and mature cheeses, but can also be an excellent meditation wine to be enjoyed alone or in the company of good friends.
