Barbera d'Alba 2021 Trediberri
The Barbera d'Alba is one of Piedmont's typical wines and almost all Langa wineries produce their own version of it. Trediberri's is made from a blend of Barbera grapes grown partly in the Roero area and from Borgata Torriglione, near the winery. The vineyards are systematically thinned to lower yields and raise quality.
After the harvest, the grapes are fermented in cement for a couple of weeks before racking and malolactic fermentation in cement or steel, followed by cold stabilisation outdoors or in thermo-conditioned steel tanks. After a few months of ageing in steel, cement or fibreglass, the wine is finally bottled.
The decision not to use wood leaves Barbera d'Alba Trediberri with all the main characteristics of this vine, we are faced with an excellent Piedmontese red wine with a nice acidity and significant alcohol content, accompanied by an olfactory bouquet played on fruity notes. In the mouth, it is full-bodied with a light tannic texture.
