Barolo 2013 Terre del Barolo
Terre del Barolo's Barolo 2013 is a red wine produced in the Barolo area of Piedmont, Italy. The grapes used for its production are 100% Nebbiolo, a variety native to the region. The grapes come from vineyards located on the hillsides of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Novello, where the soil is characterized by a composition of limestone, clay and marl.
Vinification of the 2013 Barolo takes place through traditional fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, with about 20-25 days of maceration on the skins. The wine is then aged in 30-hectoliter French oak barrels for at least three years, followed by an additional six months of bottle aging.
The result is a wine of deep ruby red color with garnet highlights. The nose reveals notes of berries, plum, spices and tobacco, with a slight hint of vanilla. In the mouth it is an elegant and structured wine, with well-present tannins that blend harmoniously with freshness and acidity. The aftertaste is long and persistent, with notes of dried fruit and spices.
