Barolo Annunziata Riserva 2013 Lorenzo Accomasso
Lorenzo Accomasso's Barolo Annunziata Riserva is a fine red wine produced in the Piedmont wine region of Italy. It is a wine made from Nebbiolo grapes from selected vineyards in the La Morra area, in the heart of the Barolo appellation.
The Nebbiolo vines grow on clay, limestone and iron-rich soils characteristic of the La Morra area, at an elevation of about 300 meters above sea level. Lorenzo Accomasso uses traditional cultivation techniques, such as selective pruning and the use of organic fertilizers, to obtain high quality grapes.
Lorenzo Accomasso's production philosophy is based on the use of natural winemaking techniques, without the use of chemicals to correct pH or acidity. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in oak barrels for about 48 months.
The organoleptic characteristics of Lorenzo Accomasso's Barolo Annunziata Riserva are complex, elegant and multifaceted. The wine shows an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, hints of ripe red fruit, such as cherry and plum, emerge, along with spicy notes of black pepper, cocoa and tobacco. In the mouth, the wine is full and structured, with a great concentration of fruit and an intense and balanced tannic drive. The finish is long and persistent, with a hint of vanilla that makes it even more interesting.
