Barolo Cannubi 2016 Burlotto
Barolo Cannubi di Burlotto is a fine Piedmontese wine, one of the 4 great Barolo of the company, together with Monvigliero, Acclivi (a blend from the two previous cru vineyards) and the Barolo base. All the wines in the Burlotto winery's range, which is now under the management of Fabio Alessandria, are pure and traditional, with grapes vinified in large French oak barrels. Burlotto's Barolo Cannubi 2016 shows a fascinating garnet red color in the glass. The nose expresses an elegant and ample bouquet of withered flowers such as rose and violet, sweet spices such as nutmeg and balsamic notes of licorice, on a fruity background of cherry and citrus. The sip is elegant, fresh and balanced with a tannin present but not invasive. Elegant, powerful and very persistent.
