Barolo Lazzarito 2017 Vietti
We find the name of Vietti again in the sphere of wine excellence in Piedmont and throughout Italy. Its Barolo wines, from the best cru in the area, are extremely elegant and capable of faithfully expressing the different terroirs from which they derive. Such is the case with this Barolo Lazzarito 2017, from Nebbiolo grapes from 50-year-old vines growing in this renowned cru near Serralunga d'Alba, which is aged for 26 months in large barrels and barriques. A vigorous and rebellious red dominated by a present tannin and made more elegant by the gentle scents it expresses on the nose: notes of jammy wild berries followed by spices and candied orange peel, introduce a powerful and energetic sip, characterised by a nice freshness and a present tannin.
