Barolo Magnum 2017 Mauro Veglio
The Barolo Magnum 2017 by Mauro Veglio is a masterpiece of elegance and structure, crafted exclusively from 100% Nebbiolo grapes trained using the Guyot system. This Barolo undergoes meticulous vinification, with maceration on the skins in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 10-15 days, followed by alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel over approximately 20 days.
By December, the wine is transferred into small oak barrels, with 15-20% new wood and the remaining second and third-passage barrels, where it ages for a total of 24 months. After careful decanting in stainless steel, it is bottled without filtration or fining, preserving the purity and authenticity of Nebbiolo.
In the glass, it displays a medium-intensity ruby red color with elegant garnet reflections. The nose is intense and harmonious, featuring ethereal and delicately captivating aromas, with subtle hints of red fruits. On the palate, it is warm and well-balanced, offering great persistence and exceptional drinkability. The finish is long and refined, with smooth tannins and a delicate touch of vanilla.
The recommended serving temperature is 16°-18°C, allowing one to appreciate its initial freshness and experience its aromatic evolution as it warms in the glass. This Barolo is ready to drink now, yet boasts excellent aging potential, promising even greater complexity over time.
