Barolo Mosconi 2019 Piero Benevelli
Barolo Mosconi comes from the 2.5-hectare vineyard of the same name in the commune of Monforte d'Alba, which has been owned by the Benevelli family for five generations. The Mosconi vineyard, facing southwest at an elevation of 290 meters, is cultivated using sustainable methods that respect tradition. The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-picked and vinified in purity. After a long maceration, the wine matures for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Barolo Mosconi is garnet red in color, with orange highlights when aged. The nose offers intense aromas of small red fruits, violets, leather and tobacco. The palate is powerful yet velvety, with enveloping tannins and endless aromatic persistence. A Barolo of rare elegance, potentially long-lived, the result of a unique terroir and artisanal production techniques.
After a long maceration and 36 months in barrel, Mosconi presents a complex aromatic profile and tannins of rare elegance. An extraordinary Barolo for structure, power and quality, capable of refining for decades thanks to excellent terroir and artisanal techniques.
