Barolo Ravera 2007 Flavio Roddolo
Barolo Ravera 2007 is a red wine from Piedmont produced by Flavio Roddolo. The Nebbiolo grapes come from the Ravera cru, from 30-year-old vines. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in steel, while the wine is aged in oak barrels of various sizes for 24 months, with no clarification or filtration. Barolo Ravera is an energetic and complex wine, a pure expression of the Langhe: deep garnet red in colour with orange reflections that increase with age, it has an intense nose with clear hints of violets, roses and spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, which evolve over time into tobacco, leather and truffle. The taste is elegant but austere, fresh and with tannins present but well blended. A great wine to be forgotten in the cellar for many years.
