Vietti Barolo Ravera 2017
Barolo Ravera Vietti is one of the best expressions of the Barolo Docg denomination, born from the Ravera Cru, a vineyard located on a calcareous-clayey soil with southwest exposure in the commune of Novello, in the Piedmontese Langhe. The vines of this cru have an average age of 27 years giving bunches of character.
Vietti Barolo Ravera is a Piedmontese red wine obtained from at least 4/5 weeks of fermentation in contact with the skins in steel tanks and long maceration with the ancient method of submerged cap, the malolactic fermentation takes place in casks and lasts until late spring, for the whole time (more than a year) the wine remains on the lees without racking. It is then aged for 32 months in large oak barrels.
The Ravera Vietti is a garnet red Barolo, the nose is really complex with ethereal hints, spicy notes, rose, balsamic fragrances, red fruit and a slight toasting. In the mouth it is concentrated and very long, the fresh and savory finish balances the important tannic texture and enveloping texture. An unforgettable wine.
