Barolo Ravera di Monforte 2019 Piero Benevelli
Barolo Ravera di Monforte is made from Nebbiolo grapes from the 2-hectare cru of the same name in the commune of Monforte d'Alba, owned by the Benevel family. The Ravera vineyard is cultivated at an altitude of 320 meters with southwest exposure, following the principles of sustainable agriculture. The grapes, harvested by hand, are vinified traditionally on their own and aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months.
Barolo Ravera di Monforte is garnet red in color with orange highlights. The nose expresses intense aromas of raspberry, rose, licorice and spices. In the mouth it is powerful and elegant, with velvety tannins and a long, aromatic finish. A deep and complex Barolo, an expression of a unique terroir, to be drunk now or aged for more than 20 years.
After long maceration and 36 months in barrel, the Ravera di Monforte has an aromatic profile typical of Nebbiolo and velvety tannins. A Barolo of rare complexity and elegance, deeply linked to its terroir, with potential for 20 years of aging.
