Barolo Vigna Rionda 2013 Luigi Oddero
Barolo Vigna Rionda 2013 is one of the finest wines of Luigi Oddero's range. Nebbiolo grapes come from one of the most important and renowned cru of Serralunga d'Alba: vigna Rionda, which extends for 0.8 hectares (0.8 acres) and where vines are exposed to south at an altitude of 350 meters (1,650 feet).
The terroir of Helvetian origin, composed of compact grey-blue marls, with layers of red sand that give minerality to the grapes, is particularly suited to the cultivation of Nebbiolo. This wine is aged in large French oak casks for at least 36 months plus two years in bottle before being released.
Barolo Vigna Rionda 2013 by Luigi Oddero shows an intense garnet red color. The nose expresses an ample and ethereal bouquet made of spices, ripe red fruit, dried flowers and balsamic notes for a deep yet elegant, harmonic and persistent sip.
