Beaujolais Village 2017 Maison En Belles Lies
Only the best bunches of Gamay are selected to produce the Beaujolais-Village of Maison En Belles Lies, a Burgundian winery founded in 2009 by Pierre Fenals, a proud follower of the biodynamic practices dictated by the pioneer Steiner.
It is precisely by following these principles that only natural products, herbal teas and decoctions, sulphur and copper are used in the vineyard to best preserve nature and terroir. The vineyards from which the Gamay grapes are produced are composed of limestone, clay and pebbles. In the cellar, fermentation is carried out spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in open vats and maturation lasts 18 months in used barriques. The wine is neither filtered nor clarified and no sulphur is added.
The En Belles Lies Beaujolais Village is a beautiful ruby red Burgundy wine, the nose expresses a lively bouquet of red fruits with a penetrating hint of liquorice. In the mouth, it is balanced, with a taste of red fruits consistent with the nose, a fine tannic texture and a lovely freshness entices us to finish the bottle glass after glass.
