Benje Tinto 2021 Envinate
Benje Tinto 2021 is a red wine produced by Envinate, made from native Canary Island grapes such as Listán Prieto, Tintilla, and Listan Blanco. The grapes come from high altitude vineyards, between 900 and 1200 meters above sea level, planted on volcanic soils.
Production of this red wine follows Envinate's organic and sustainable farming philosophy, with very low yields and great attention to grape quality. Harvesting is by hand, with destemming and light crushing of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in cement vats, with long macerations on the skins, with no addition of selected yeasts. This is followed by aging in cement and large wooden barrels.
Benje Tinto shows a deep ruby red color with violet hues. Ripe red fruit aromas such as blueberry and raspberry stand out on the nose, accompanied by spicy notes of cloves and a balsamic touch. In the mouth it is enveloping, with soft tannins and fresh acidity, and returns of red fruit. The finish is long and elegant.
It is a wine with a strong personality, excellent with red meats, aged cheeses, game and, in general, with traditional Canary Island cuisine.
