"Damigiana" Bianco 2022 Rabasco
The "Damigiana" Bianco by Rabasco is an authentic testament to the passion and artisanal attention of the winery. Derived solely from Trebbiano d'Abruzzo grapes from the renowned vineyard "La Salita" in Loreto Aprutino, this wine reflects the unmistakable identity of the Abruzzo region. Each stage of production reflects the dedication and awareness to preserve the vitality of the terroir and the unique essence of the grapes.
The vineyard itself, spanning 2.2 hectares of soil characterized by layers of clay and limestone, provides an ideal environment for the grapes to grow, maturing with the unmistakable imprint of the climate and the land. The harvest is carried out with care and attention, expertly selecting only the best grapes to ensure the excellence of the final product.
The production of the wine follows the principles of biodynamics and organic viticulture, maintaining absolute integrity throughout the process. Natural fermentation in open vats without temperature control allows the wine to develop its aromatic complexity naturally and authentically. The 6-day maceration on the skins adds further depth and structure to the wine, while aging in 54-liter damigiane during the winter months allows for a harmonious evolution, capturing the essence of the terroir in every drop.
Once the wine reaches maturity, its vibrancy is fully expressed in the glass. The brilliant golden color is just the beginning of an engaging sensory experience. The enveloping bouquet reveals notes of ripe yellow fruit, followed by subtle hints of sweet honey and a delicate interweaving of aromatic herbs, while touches of mature citrus lend a distinctive freshness. The refined and well-structured sip stands out for its depth and intensity, leaving a feeling of fullness and satisfaction that lingers long after the last sip. This wine represents not only a delight for the palate but an authentic testament to the love for the land and dedication to winemaking excellence that characterizes the Rabasco winery.
