Bourgogne Blanc Bigotes 2019 is a fine wine produced using natural methods by Frederic Cossard. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from 40-year-old vineyards in the Puligny area of Burgundy, vineyards that are not owned by Cossard but are worked according to the same principles of sustainable agriculture and respect for the terroir, focusing on the highest quality of the grapes.
The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected directly in the vineyard, fermentation is spontaneous, using only indigenous yeasts, and the wine is aged in new barriques for a maximum of 3 years.
This Bourgogne Blanc Bigotes 2019 fully represents the style of Burgundy Chardonnay, with that typical balance and cleanliness that distinguishes it. It expresses a bright, deep straw yellow colour in the glass, with a fruity nose of yellow and white fruit, citrus and mineral notes. The palate is fresh and very clean, echoing the fruity and mineral aromas of the nose and ending with a balanced finish and a hint of mint.
