Bourgogne Rouge Coteux de Dijon 2019 Domaine de La Cras
Coteaux de Dijon Bourgogne Blanc is a white Burgundy wine from Domaine de La Cras. It is made from Chardonnay grapes, and despite the fact that the terroir around Dijon is considered more predisposed to the cultivation of Pinot Noir, Marc Soyard shows that Chardonnay can give equally interesting results.
Marc has adapted the same natural philosophy at Domaine de la Cras that he learned at Domaine Bizot, following biodynamic farming practices. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel with indigenous yeasts, while the wine is aged for 12 months in used barrels.
The nose expresses hints of green apple, pear, citrus and pastry, while the sip is structured and creamy, balanced by a nice dose of freshness.
