Bourgogne Coteaux de Dijon 2018 Domaine de La Cras-Marc Soyard
Bourgogne Coteaux de Dijon 2018 is a fresh, bright red Burgundy wine from Marc Soyard, who cultivates the 8 hectares of vines that make up the historic Domaine de La Cras, located on the slopes surrounding Dijon. Here, unique wines are produced, the only ones authorised to be under the 'Coteaux de Dijon' appellation.
It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested by hand from 37-year-old vines grown on clay-limestone soils at the En Bessy vineyard site.
The grapes undergo spontaneous whole cluster semi-carbonic fermentation with the sole help of indigenous yeasts, before maturing for 15-18 months in oak barrels, 30-40% of which are new. The wine undergoes very little intervention both in the vineyard and in the cellar with a minimal amount of sulphites at bottling.
The 2018 Bourgogne Coteaux de Dijon expresses an intense ruby red colour to the eye. The nose expresses a bouquet of red fruits, flowers and spices, for a juicy and fresh sip.
