Bourgogne Mathilde 2017 Benoit Ente
Bourgogne Mathilde 2017 is a French red wine from the Burgundy region produced by Benoit Ente. It is the only red wine in Benoit Ente's range, made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from two small plots planted in 1975 and 1998.
The estate's own grapes were sold to the famous Louis Latour, until Benoit Ente decided to directly exploit their great potential and produce them himself.
The result is a pine black that is a combination of power and lightness, where oak ageing increases the structure but Benoit is always looking for more freshness and drinkability in his wines. This Bourgogne Mathilde ages for a total period of 18 months, the first 12 in oak barrels and the remaining 6 months in steel.
