Bourgogne Rouge Coteux de Dijon 2019 Domaine de La Cras 

The 2019 Coteaux de Dijon Bourgogne Rouge is a red wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine de La Cras. It is made from Pinot Noir grapes and is a demonstration of how great and interesting Dijon Coteaux wines can be, considering that the terroir around Dijon is very predisposed to growing Pinot Noir.

Marc has adapted the same natural philosophy at Domaine de la Cras that he learned at Domaine Bizot, following biodynamic farming practices. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel with indigenous yeasts, while the wine is aged for 12 months in used barrels.

Light garnet red in colour and slightly opaque, this wine expresses on the nose hints of small red fruits such as blackberries and currants, herbaceous and woody notes, while the taste is medium-bodied, animated by a nice freshness and silky tannins, pleasant and tasty.

Domaine de la Cras is an estate that was purchased in 2013 by the municipality of Dijon, in Burgundy, and entrusted to the capable hands of winemaker Marc Soyard. Marc manages the 8 hectares of the estate, cultivated with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir according to biodynamic farming methods.
