Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova 2016
Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova 2016 is a fine Tuscan wine from the Casanova di Neri winery. The grapes come from the Tenuta Nuova vineyard, which, as its name suggests, is a recently acquired vineyard located south of Montalcino, where no one had previously thought of planting Sangiovese. Casanova di Neri has in mind to create from this terroir, a Brunello that can be drunk even at a young age but at the same time has great evolutionary capacity.
Ever since the first harvest in 1983, Casanova di Neri's Brunello Tenuta Nuova has been recognised and awarded worldwide: it is a very territorial bottle with recognisable traits such as elegance and structure. Further favoured by an exceptional vintage such as 2016, it has received considerable praise and scores from the most influential critics.
Bright ruby red in colour with hints of garnet, it expresses on the nose a broad and refined bouquet of small red fruits, pomegranate, mint violet. The taste is elegant and tasty, with important tannins and a slightly balsamic and long lasting finish.
