This vineyard, located at 497 meters above sea level, is nestled in a green and pristine area surrounded by three natural reserves: the Gran Sasso National Park, the Majella National Park, and the Sirente-Velino Regional Park. The privileged position and significant thermal excursion between day and night contribute to giving the grapes a fine and subtle aromatic profile, ideal for producing a high-quality rosé.
The vineyard's soil is lean and stony, which, together with the cool and ventilated climate, favors the maturation of a particularly elegant and aromatic Montepulciano. The vines, planted in 2002, benefit from the northern exposure and the lowest nighttime temperatures in the valley, elements that enhance the wine's freshness and complexity.
The grapes are hand-harvested and softly pressed, with a brief contact with the skins, allowing the extraction of the free-run must that is then vinified in white. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts, and the wine rests in steel for at least six months before bottling. This traditional production process, respectful of the terroir, ensures a final product that fully respects the typical characteristics of Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo.
