Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 2012 Patrick Piuze
Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses 2012 is an illustrious interpretation of a white wine from northern Burgundy produced by Chablis master Patrick Piuze. The Chardonnay grapes come from the Grand Cru vineyard of the same name located on the right bank of the Serein with a south-west exposure, on the typical Kimmeridgian limestone soils, responsible for the great flavour and minerality that characterises the white wines of this area.
Patrick Piuze interprets them in his own way, with great skill and a less acidic and more balanced style, a style that has made him one of the most sought-after emerging producers of Chablis. The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is a gem not to be missed, an exceptional white wine ready to be tasted at the peak of its form, i.e. after 10 years of ageing.
It expresses a very luminous straw yellow colour with golden reflections on the eye, while the nose is invaded by aromas of exotic fruit, apricot, honey and beeswax intertwined with notes of vanilla and minerals. The sip brings back a magnificent harmony of taste and smell where the structure is offset by a freshness that is still alive and vibrant, and concludes in a long and satisfying finish.
