Champagne Ambonnay Magnum 2016 Marguet
Champagne Ambonnay Magnum 2016 is a fine wine produced by Marguet. The cuvée is made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes sourced exclusively from the renowned village of Ambonnay, giving it great balance: the structure of the Pinot Noir blends with the refined elegance of the Chardonnay to create a cuvée with a complex and refined bouquet.
The Maison's aim is to produce artisanal Champagne that purely expresses the terroir and its different characteristics, which is why the Champagne is produced with the utmost attention to quality and minimal intervention. The first fermentation takes place in barrels using only indigenous yeasts, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the Champenoise method, with a stay on the yeasts of at least 48 months before dégorgement.
This 2016 Champagne Ambonnay Magnum shows an intense straw yellow colour in the glass with a fine, numerous and persistent perlage. The nose offers a complex bouquet of fruits such as citrus, apple, ripe white-fleshed fruit and light notes of bread and pastries. On the palate the taste is long and deep, at the same time taut and mineral with a savoury finish.
