Champagne Arpege Nature V19 Pascal Doquet
Champagne Arpege Nature V19 by Pascal Doquet is an outstanding expression of the terroir of the Côte des Blancs, produced with a careful biological and biodynamic philosophy. Pascal Doquet, a winemaker since 1982, cultivates his vineyards in the prestigious commune of Le Mesnil sur Oger, known as the "capital" of the Côte des Blancs. Doquet's dedication to both vineyard management and cuvée creation results in a product that faithfully reflects the characteristics of the terroir.
The grapes for this Champagne come from parcels of Chardonnay located around the commune of Vertus in the Côte des Blancs, a region famous for its chalky soils that impart minerality and freshness to the wines. This unique terroir allows for high-quality Chardonnay capable of expressing finesse and complexity.
The vinification of Champagne Arpege Nature V19 involves fermentation with indigenous yeasts, ensuring a natural and authentic fermentation process. 20% of the must is vinified in wooden barrels, adding depth and aromatic complexity to the wine. The result is a Brut Nature Champagne, without dosage, highlighting the purity and integrity of the fruit.
In the glass, it presents a bright straw yellow color with golden highlights and fine, persistent bubbles.
On the nose, Arpege Nature V19 offers a delicate and refined bouquet characterized by aromas of fruit and white flowers, accompanied by subtle toasted notes that add pleasant complexity.
On the palate, this Champagne stands out for its freshness and cleanliness. The fruity notes harmoniously combine with marked minerality, making the sip persistent and lively. Citrus and herbal sensations complete the tasting profile, offering a balanced and pleasant experience.
Champagne Arpege Nature V19 is extremely versatile in terms of food pairings. It is ideal as an aperitif but also pairs perfectly with appetizers and first courses based on vegetables or fish. Its freshness and minerality make it an ideal companion for light and refined dishes.
