PERRIER - JOUET

Perrier-Jouet Grandi Bottiglie

Champagne Perrier-Jouët, timeless luxury icon

Perrier-Jouët Champagnes are an undisputed symbol of elegance and quality, true timeless icons. The Maison was founded in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose-Adélaïde Jouët: she was a cultured young woman from a family of Norman merchants, he a talented winemaker and botanist. Both shared a passion for nature and the arts, and a year after their marriage they founded the Maison Perrier-Jouët, born of their desire to create a unique Champagne company that would stand out from all others.

The great passion for nature and creativity influenced the history of the Maison and was passed on from generation to generation. The history of Perrier-Jouët is connected with that of Art Nouveau, which was inspired by the forms of nature to enchant reality, through the iconic Anemone motif that was commissioned in 1902 by the artist Emile Gallé.

The founders of Maison Perrier-Jouët chose the Côte des Blancs, in the heart of Champagne, as the ideal terroir for growing Chardonnay, with plots located in the prestigious Crus of Avize and Cramant that are managed with sustainable criteria. In over 200 years, Perrier-Jouët has had only 8 cellar masters, each trained by his predecessor to preserve the original style in the best possible way. In October 2020, Séverine Frerson became the eighth cellar master (and the first woman to hold the position) in the history of the Maison.
