Champagne Blanc de Blancs Nature Laherte Frères
Laherte Frères' Blanc de Blancs Nature Champagne is an outstanding expression of pure Chardonnay, sourced from vineyards in the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay. The vines, averaging 35 years old, thrive in chalky and clay-rich soils that impart a distinctive mineral character. After harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, and the must ferments in oak barrels and small barriques. The vins clairs age for six months on fine lees, undergoing partial malolactic fermentation. To enhance complexity and depth, 50% of reserve wines aged in barriques are added before secondary fermentation, which takes place in the bottle using the traditional Champenoise method, with zero dosage to maintain purity.
In the glass, it displays a brilliant straw-yellow color with fine, persistent bubbles. The refined and elegant bouquet reveals aromas of white flowers, citrus zest, green apple, ripe yellow fruit, and tropical hints, complemented by nuances of pain brioche and chalk. On the palate, it is vibrant, tense, and saline, with remarkable freshness and a well-balanced structure between ripeness and minerality. The finish is long and sophisticated, ideal for those seeking an authentic and uncompromising Champagne experience.
