Champagne 1er Cru Fondation 1910 Pointillart-Leroy
The cuvée Fondations 1910 lays the foundation for Champagne Pointillart-Leroy. Settled for more than 100 years in the village of Ecueil, at 4 rue Villers-aux-Nœuds, the family has never stopped cultivating its love for the family home. To underscore its attachment to this place steeped in history, it created Fondations 1910, a cuvée in which the combination of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay guides us through time.
The musts from which the cuvée is made are derived exclusively from the first pressing of the grapes and the alcoholic fermentation is carried out in steel, the winemaking is done with the partial use of malolactic fermentation.
Champagne Fondations 1910 is light straw yellow in color with elegant perlage. The nose is delicate and fruity, evoking notes of vine peach, quince and lemon, with hints of acacia and mimosa. When opened, it reveals notes of almond, fresh hazelnut, passion fruit and pear, cherry and plum.
Palate contact is clean and fresh with creamy, melt-in-your-mouth effervescence. Sandy-clay minerality lends fruity volume, salinity and length to the palate. The whole expresses both an avidity and tension that carries with it a juicy, saline finish.
