Champagne Brut Blanc de Noirs 2012 J. de Telmont
The 2012 Blanc de Noirs is a fine Champagne produced by J. de Telmont, and is the result of blending several Meuniers from the village of Damery and an elegant Pinot Noir from different crus in the Aube area, all rigorously harvested in the 2012 vintage. The year 2012 was overall cool and rainy with a series of weather disasters.
The result was a vintage with a lower yield, yet of great quality. The base wines are vinified and aged in oak barrels using a manual "bâtonnage" system, and do not undergo malolactic fermentation. The 2012 Blanc de Noirs from Maison Telmont is a limited production Champagne of 4,000 bottles per year, in line with the prestige of the company, which for four generations has continued a careful and respectful work towards the terroir, blending tradition and innovation in the search for the highest quality grapes.
This Champagne expresses a beautiful straw yellow colour with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose offers pleasant aromas of caramel and hints of spices such as saffron, with a sip of great freshness and a long, slightly saline and mineral finish.
