Champagne Bouzy Grand Cru Grand Millesime 2014 Brut Paul Bara
The 2014 Bouzy Grand Cru Grand Millesime is a rich and elegant Champagne produced by Paul Bara, the small Maison of 11 hectares located in the Grand Cru of Bouzy, south-east of the Montagne de Reims. This area is particularly suited to the cultivation of Pinot Noir, and indeed this label is composed of 90% Pinot Noir, plus 10% Chardonnay, all from the 2014 vintage.
After the harvest, the alcoholic fermentation of the base wines is carried out in steel vats, where the wine is left to mature for a few months before refermentation in the bottle carried out according to the Champenoise method criteria, with a 48-month stay on the lees.
Paul Bara's 2014 Champagne Bouzy Grand Cru Grand Millesime shows in the glass a splendid golden yellow colour and a fine, numerous and persistent perlage. The nose offers intense, layered aromas of white flowers, fruit and citrus fruits, candied lemon peel, toasted hazelnuts and honey. The sip is rich but taut at the same time, of great harmony for the relationship it has between structure and mineral freshness.
