"Blues" Champagne Brut Nature GB Private Label
Champagne Brut Nature "Blues" 100% Pinot Noir is produced in large bottles by the Maison Paul Dangin, a family-run business based in Celles-sur-Ource, a village full of character in the heart of the Côte des Bar.
The grapes used to produce this champagne are selected by hand and come from vineyards at least 35 years old located in the Vallée de la Marne, an area that stretches along the Marne River and is known for the quality of its Pinot Noirs. Maison Dangin uses sustainable farming techniques, reducing the use of chemicals to a minimum and favouring the manual working of the vines.
The vinification of Champagne 'Blues' follows the traditional Champagne production method. After the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and the must obtained is transferred to stainless steel fermentation tanks, where it ferments at a controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation is avoided to maintain the wine's acidity and freshness. After fermentation, the wine is bottled for re-fermentation in the bottle, giving rise to the characteristic effervescence of Champagne. The wine remains in contact with the yeasts for at least 36 months, giving it a unique complexity and depth.
Our Private Label Champagne "Blues" Brut Nature 100% Pinot Noir truly shows great personality, with a golden yellow colour and fine, persistent perlage. The nose reveals notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, such as peach and apricot, along with hints of citrus and spices. The palate is well-balanced, with nice acidity and a long, pleasantly mineral finish.
