Champagne Brut Nature Philippe Starck 2012 Louis Roederer
Brut Nature Philippe Starck 2012 is a fine Champagne produced by Louis Roederer, fruit of the genius of Louis Roederer and Philippe Starck. In 2006, two of Roederer's collaborators proposed to the famous designer Philippe Starck to develop a cuvée together. A great lover of champagne, Philippe Starck set his conditions: instead of limiting himself to the creation of the label, he should also participate to the content of the bottle which should be a non-dosé champagne. This Champagne Brut Nature Philippe Starck 2012 renews the successful experiment made in 2006: to give a more modern look to one of the most classic and prestigious Champagne Maison. It is obtained from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (2/3) integrated with Chardonnay (1/3), from grapes growing on the great terroir of Cumières exposed to the south in the heart of the Marne Valley. An unmetered Champagne, Brut Nature 2012 was patiently aged on lees for 5 years, then allowed to rest 6 months in bottle after disgorgement. Louis Roederer's Champagne Brut Nature Philippe Starck 2012 shows a yellow dress with amber hues and a persistent bubble. The nose expresses an elegant bouquet of flowers and honeysuckle hints and then heads towards mouthwatering yellow fruit, fresh citrus and notes of toasted nuts and spices. Creamy and rich on the palate, persistent with a spicy and delicately bitter finish.
