Champagne Brut Royal Réserve Non Dosé Philipponnat
Champagne Pas Dosé Royale Réserve is a fine wine produced by Philipponnat. It is made from a blend of 65% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Meunier from villages classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru of Champagne. The fermentation of the base wines takes place in steel, after careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard.
The malolactic fermentation is partially carried out and the maturation of the reserve wines takes place in wooden barrels. 70% of the grapes from the 2017 vintage are added to a 30% reserve wine, managed according to the solera method. Once the cuvée has been created, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise method and the wine is left to mature on the lees in the bottle for a period of approximately 36 months, without any final dosage.
The Champagne Pas Dosé Royale Réserve has a beautiful pale golden yellow colour, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose offers an elegant floral bouquet with aromas of lime and hawthorn, citrus and a lingering finish of yeast and pastry. On the palate it is straight, very fresh and mineral although endowed with beautiful complexity.
