Champagne Dom Perignon 2004 Moet & Chandon
Dom Perignon is the most famous Champagne in the world, a symbol of luxury, elegance and prestige it owes its name to the Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Perignon to whom the legend attributes the birth of modern Champagne. Its history began in 1936, when the president, Robert-Jean de Vogue, decided to create a bottle of Champagne unique in the world by creating a cuvée with the grapes of the 1921 vintage, since then Dom Perignon has become a vintage Champagne which is produced only in the best vintages.
Grapes are cultivated in the Grand Cru vineyards of the Maison and in the Premier Cru lands of Hautvillers Abbey. Base wines are vinified in steel tanks before being blended and starting the second fermentation on yeasts followed by an aging of at least 6 years.
Dom Perignon 2004 is characterized by a great balance in the aromatic bouquet played on floral and fruity scents enriched by candied fruit, hay and toasted notes with light hints of licorice. In the mouth is a full and opulent Champagne with a delicious and enveloping sip. As the wine stays in the glass the aromas evolve and expand closing with a bitter hint and a nice sapid finish.
