Description

Champagne "Le Bout Du Clos" Jacques Selosse

"Le Bout Du Clos" is a fine Champagne produced by Jacques Selosse. It is made only from Pinot Noir grapes coming from a single lieux dits, the grand cru of Ambonnay. The unique style of Selosse is also reflected in this label, made according to biodynamic agriculture with little use of chemicals. The grapes are harvested when fully ripe, ferment in oak and undergo a long maturation on yeasts in the bottle for 48 months. The Champagne Le Bout Du Clos di Selosse shows a golden yellow colour with a very fine, numerous and persistent perlage. To the nose it expresses an intense and very mineral bouquet, lightened by hints of fruits such as apple and pear, and citrus fruits. The sip is full and tasty, at the same time savoury and fresh, extremely persistent.

SELOSSE

Jaques Selosse is a Champagne guru who distinguishes himself for his unique style, characterized by the search for oxidation, which translates into the pushing ripening of the grapes and long pauses on the yeasts plus the use of the Soleras method for blending the base wines. Selosse is a reference for independent winemakers, distinguishing itself from the great commercial Maisons for the quality of its Champagne.
