Champagne Reserve "Le Fer de Lance" Lancelot et Fils
Réserve "Le Fer de Lance" by Lancelot et Fils, a name evoking the strength and essence of this emblematic wine from the vineyard. A 100% Chardonnay blanc de blancs, born from the estate's vineyards, predominantly in Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley.
This cuvée is the result of a perpetual reserve, an ancient technique inspired by Andalusian winemakers, involving adding the current year's wine to a vat containing wines from previous years. Hubert Lancelot's goal is to convey the spirit of the elders to the young wine, a passionate encounter between the fervor of the moment and the wisdom of time.
Malolactic fermentation softens the natural tension of this champagne, giving it a fine structure and a unique character. This cuvée reveals the distinctive aromas of Chardonnay - notes of citrus and floral nuances - enriched by the mineral signature of the terroir.
An atypical champagne, suspended between burning passion and deep concentration, earning acclaim from the most discerning juries. The terroir extends from the prestigious Côte des Blancs (Chouilly, Cramant, Villeneuve, Oiry) to the picturesque Marne Valley (Épernay).
An aging of 36 months on lees and a dosage of 3 g/l - Extra Brut give this wine extraordinary complexity. Perfect as an aperitif, but also recommended to accompany classic Blanc de Blancs dishes: noble fish, seafood, or foie gras.
