Champagne Rosé de Meunier Extra Brut Laherte Frères
Laherte Frères' Champagne Rosé de Meunier is a unique expression of this native grape from the Vallée de la Marne. It is a "Rosé d’Assemblage" made exclusively from Pinot Meunier, sourced from 30-year-old vines grown with environmentally respectful methods. The blend consists of 30% maceration wine, 10% red wine, and 60% white wine, 40% of which is reserve wine aged in barrels.
The winemaking process includes traditional pressing, followed by alcoholic fermentation in vats, foudres, and oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is only partially carried out to maintain freshness and acidity. After prolonged aging on fine lees, the Champagne undergoes manual disgorgement with an Extra Brut dosage of just 2.5 g/l.
In the glass, it presents a beautiful pale pink color with coppery reflections and a fine, persistent perlage. The aromatic bouquet is complex and intriguing, with notes of wild berries, citrus, cranberry, mint, and subtle chalky nuances. The palate is distinguished by its enveloping structure, a perfect balance between richness and freshness, and a deep, lingering finish.
Ideal for those who appreciate artisanal Champagnes with character, Laherte Frères’ Rosé de Meunier pairs beautifully with smoked fish, tuna tartare, white meats, or aged cheeses.
