Champagne Substance Jacques Selosse

The Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru "Substance" is a fine Champagne produced by Jacques Selosse. It absolutely represents the "substance" of the company with its unsurpassed class and personality. Obtained from 100% Chardonnay grown with natural and sustainable methods inside the Avize Grand Cru, it undergoes spontaneous fermentation for 12 months in first passage barriques; the refermentation takes place in the bottle, according to the principles of the Champenoise Method, with permanence on its lees for 7 years. Champagne "Substance" shows a light and bright golden color with a fine and very persistent perlage. The nose is broad and intense and develops around a texture of toasted hints, spicy notes and dried fruit. The sip is full and balanced, refined and fresh, with a long savory finish. It is Jacques Selosse himself who speaks of this bottle as the spearhead of its production: a Champagne of the highest level, difficult to imitate, to consume on special occasions.
