Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Cailleret 2018 Jean Claude Ramonet
We are in front of a white Burgundy wine of inestimable value: the Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Cailleret 2018 from Jean Claude Ramonet, a real reference in Chassagne-Montrachet and throughout Burgundy, which produces white wines of inestimable complexity and excellence.
The village of 'Les Caillerets' should not be confused with Clos Du Cailleret: Chassagne vineyards can be confusing, as the same area can be sold under different names. Les Caillerets is located to the south and above the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, while the Clos Du Cailleret is located within Vigne Derriére.
This is a white wine of the highest level with a great capacity for ageing: Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Cailleret 2018 presents itself to the eye with a pale straw yellow colour with greenish highlights: the nose expresses fruity aromas of rennet apple, plum and a hint of ginger with a bouquet of fresh flowers and freshly cut grass, then yellow plum and a touch of ginger. The sip is balanced between body and freshness, with great momentum and vitality. A real treasure to treasure in the cellar.
