Chateau Pontet Canet 2017 Chateau Pontet Canet
Château Pontet-Canet is a reference point for biodynamically produced wines in the Pauillac appellation in Bordeaux. It received Ecocert and Biodyvin certification in 2010, and works its vineyards with the utmost respect for the plants and the surrounding environment.
This Château Pontet-Canet 2017 is made from an assemblage of Cabernet Sauvignon (64%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Petit Verdot (2%), hand-picked which ferment in cement and steel and then age in the large underground cellar in new barrels for more than 50%.
The wine expresses an intense ruby red colour while the nose offers a bouquet composed of fruity and floral aromas plus mineral salts. The taste is deep and balanced, with fine tannins and a long persistence.
