Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna Del Sorbo 2018 is a rich, full-bodied Tuscan red wine made from Sangiovese grapes.

This label receives several awards every year: it is a Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione version, so it must meet stricter parameters than the base or Riserva. This complex, layered wine is made from a blend of 90% Sangiovese plus 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, an international grape that has amply demonstrated its ability to achieve excellent levels of quality in Tuscany.

Refinement lasts 24 months and takes place in 50% new Troncais and Allier barriques. The "Vigna del Sorbo" 2018 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione announces itself to the eye with a bright ruby red colour, with garnet reflections on the rim. The complex nose gives a boquet of notes of fruit, flowers (violet petals) and spices.

The sip is powerful and structured, balanced by an interesting sapidity, closing with a persistent finish. A great bottle, the winery's most prestigious label within the Chianti Classico DOCG appellation.
